Heritage Development Company announced it is moving forward with plans to build a new Aloft Hotel and adjoining restaurant space in North Olmsted, off Great Northern Boulevard near Interstate 480, Great Northern Mall and Moen, Inc., just two exits west of Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport.
Construction of the four-story, 134-room hotel will begin May 1, 2016, with completion scheduled for summer of 2017. Plans include an indoor pool, complete with outdoor access to the “backyard”. Food service will also be available which includes grab and go items, breakfast, and an upscale bar offering happy hour specials.
In addition, Heritage has a restaurant pad for sale or lease conveniently located next door to the new Aloft Cleveland Airport Hotel. Heritage is in preliminary talks with Cleveland-area restauranteurs to explore the possibility of local dining options in the restaurant space.
“We are thrilled with the success of the new Aloft Downtown Cleveland in the East Bank of the Flats and look forward to replicating that energy at the new North Olmsted location,” said Iris Wolstein, President of Heritage Development Company.
Aloft Hotels is a Starwood Hotels brand. The Snavely Group will be the construction company working on this project. ThenDesign Architecture (TDA) from Willoughby is the architectural firm, with Robert Fiala serving as lead architect. Solon’s Hejduck Cox is the engineer.
